'What is that?'
'Who is that standing there?'
That person rooted on the spot seems so familiar. His short brown hair waving against the wind with both hands in his pocket. Why does he seem so familiar though I’m looking at his back? Broad shoulders with a swimmer's build.

'Hey wake up!'
'What....?'

'Oi! What are you dreaming about?,' asked a tall slim figure.

'What time is it? Why are you waking me up?,' Clover asked with a grumpy look.

'cause I’m calling you to wake up!,' answered Lily with a snarl. 'What were you dreaming about? You were mumbling a person's name' Lily asked with a smile. 'Is it a guy? Was he hot?,' she continued.

'Shut up! It’s too early!,' shot Clover.

'And yea it was a guy'
'seriously??? Oh do tell me!'
'I said shut up!'

Clover and Lily. Best friends since high school and now attending a college for elite students. Lily was always the popular one with her tall slim figure and outstanding features. she was nominated prom queen and won a modeling contract on the spot by just showing up at pageant. Clover however is the notorious tomboy who reign the whole education industry by just bashing up gangsters. she never had to beat up more than one person. all she does is go for the leader of the group and the rest just ran for their lives. Literally. The combination itself was weird. An unusual beauty and the beast, walking and talking without a care in the world. Nevertheless, they stood out like sore thumbs and were never separated.

‘Hey did you see those two girls who just went by?,’ asked Alex.

‘who? Those?,’ answered Jimmy pointing at Lily and Clover.

‘haha, I did not know you like tomboys,’ interrupted Adrian.

‘As if! I was looking at the tall one k! I’m not interested with that short ugly one,’ Alex answered with a snort.

‘Well then lets go make friends. I’m sure they are not all that snobbish as they look,’ said Jimmy with a smile.

Alex, a dark soul with eyes that kill. His father is a CEO of a shipping company, in other words, Alex is loaded. Adrian, a good humored person who has the biggest sense of humor in the bunch. Then, there’s Jimmy who has all the looks and luck any guy would die for. They met in a basketball tournament as rivals but ended up as friends on the first day when they enrolled in the same college.

‘Ah well, there isn’t any hope for the likes of us, don’t you agree Alex?,’ said Adrian with a cheeky smile on his face directed at Jimmy.

‘What the hell are you talking about? Just give me a week and she’s mine!,’ Alex replied with a glint in his eye.

‘Both of you are assholes,’ laughed Jimmy. ‘Both of you know that they can’t resist me with looks like mine,’ Jimmy continued.

‘Owh really? Is that a dare?,’ said Adrian addressing Alex instead of Jimmy. ‘I bet it’s a challenge,’ Alex answered with the same glint in his eyes.

‘Then it’s settled. Whoever that gets that tall girl’s phone number wins! Agree?,’ said Adrian, this time addressing to both Alex and Jimmy.

‘Yea sure I agree,’ replied Alex with his dark eyes.

‘You are both going down,’ laughed Jimmy.

‘Hey I have a strange feeling someone is talking bout us’ said Clover while stacking books into her locker.

‘There’s always someone talking bout us so it is normal I guess,’ answered Lily.

‘You mean there’s someone always talking bout u,’ said Clover with a smile. Lily did not reply, instead she held out her hands to take one of the books from Clover.

‘So who were you dreaming of last night then?,’ said Lily with a tone she does not want to continue the earlier conversation.

‘I wish I knew, but he was good looking from the back,’ replied Clover.

‘Oh yea? Then I hope you meet him in the near future,’ said Lily after a pause.

‘yea I hope so too since he seems to be waiting for me or something,’ Clover said while looking at Lily at the corner of her eye.

Lily chuckled softly with her attractive face softening. She looks like an angel who fell down from heaven with those long eyelashes and flawless complexion. The passersby even stopped to look at her in awe.

The bell rang and the both of them rushed to class. In class all Clover could think about was that dream. Who was it? What does he want? She smiled slightly at those thoughts. She already knows who it was but why is it that he appeared in her dreams lately. Those soft eyes that pierce hers the very first time they met. Didn’t he say there wasn’t a chance in hell they would ever end up together? That night he came to see her and gave her a ride on his bike. All she could think about was her hands hugging him from the back as tightly as she could. To her, it was a once in a lifetime chance. She knew there will never be a second chance for her to ever hold him that way again. Pain swarmed her chest as thoughts of her unreturned love keeps swimming in her mind.

‘Hey Clover, I’m meeting some boys for lunch,’ said Lily as the bell rang for lunch.

‘Owh my child, you are growing up so fast. Soon you will not need me to protect you against perverts anymore! Then what will be the end of me?,’ Clover said with a dramatic tone. Lily laughed then waves happily at the boys at the door.

‘Well I’m off my dearest Clover, don’t wander too far, you are my lucky charm afterall,’ said Lily with a sincere smile.

‘Well said princess, buh bye then,’ answered Clover without looking at Lily.

In a few seconds the classroom was empty. Clover sat at her place while looking out at the window. The classroom overlooks the grounds where groups of people gather to have a picnic lunch. At the corner she could see Lily talking to a bunch of guys happily while being served lunch.

‘Must be nice to be so beautiful and be the object of affection to every guy,’ Clover said silently to herself. ‘I wonder if he would have accepted me if I were as attractive as her,’ she whispered under her breathe.

‘Who are you mumbling to?,’ said Alex. ‘What??’ exclaimed Clover with shock. ‘Who are you? How long have you been standing there? What do you want? Why are you here?,’ asked Clover quickly.

Alex grinned a dark grin. ‘I’m Alex Zoru, son of Yuri Zoru. I have been standing here since the bell rang. I want nothing from you. I’m here to find someone from this class,’ answered Alex with an air of superiority.

‘Owh,’ said Clover with a blush. ‘So you’re the son of the CEO of Zoru shipping company then. You’re half Japanese right?,’ Clover continued.

‘Yup that’s me. Now it’s my turn to ask questions,’ answered Alex coldly. ‘Where is that girl that you always hang out with?,’ asked Alex.

‘She’s down there. Why don’t you come here and see for yourself,’ Clover answered with a low voice. She stood up, gathered her books and walked past Alex.

‘aww so sweet. You are jealous!,’ called Alex from the classroom. Clover, who was now walking down the corridor stopped in her tracks and turned to face Alex. ‘I bet you never had a boyfriend before!,’ Alex continued.

‘And who are you to judge me? I heard bout you alright. You are Alex Zoru. The spoil rich kid who thinks he is better than everyone else. And what’s with that dark look of yours anyways? Do you think it’s cool or something?’ shouted Clover.

‘Don’t be stupid. This look is called a poker face. I have been trained since young for future purposes since I will be taking over my father one day. Guess I’m right since a stupid girl like you will never have a boyfriend!,’ argued Alex.

‘I dare you to say that to me again,’ Clover said with a fire stirring in her head. She was already walking towards Alex.

He laughed then said, ‘You are stupid and nobody wants..’. But before he could finish his sentence Clover punched him in the face and he fell back into the classroom.

‘What the…’ spat Alex, wiping his bleeding lip. He launched at Clover with his fist but was forced back with a kick from her to his gut.

‘What was it that you wanted to say?’ said Clover with a gloomy look. Alex was still holding his stomach with a painful look on his face. He looked up at Clover then looked away.

‘Yea that’s what I thought too,’ said Clover after a while. ‘Jerk!’ said Clover with her back facing Alex as she exits the class room again.

Alex slid down to the floor still clutching his stomach. Nobody defeated him before in combat. Let alone a woman! Since young he was trained in three different kinds of martial arts to be able to defend himself from kidnappers. Since then he never lost to anyone. Shock flowed throughout his body which caused him to shiver in excitement.

‘Well well, looks like you just caught my attention there my little unlucky Clover,’ thought Alex.

‘Yo! You guys! Where the hell were you??!’ shouted Alex to Adrian and Jimmy after searching for them for an hour.

‘We were trying to get more information bout our target. What else would we be doing?’ replied Jimmy obviously annoyed.

‘Yea, we tried approaching her during lunch but she was surrounded by so many guys but she still stood out so beautifully from the mass of dicks!’ laughed Adrian. ‘So why are you so worked up? Shouldn’t you progress faster than both of us? You are the one with money afterall,’ continued Adrian.

‘You with your smart ass mouth can just shut it! Anyways I just want to tell you guys I’m not playing anymore. I don’t think this game is worth my time,’ said Alex.

‘Zoru what happened? I mean we started this for fun. Why are you pulling out now?’ asked Jimmy.

‘Yea I mean I thought we started this because it was just to kill time,’ said Adrian.

‘Then you both continue this game. I’m out since I lost interest,’ answered Alex. He walked the opposite direction after saying that.

‘Well now what happen to our young master eh? Could it be that he found someone else?’ asked Adrian.

‘Even though he has a poker face I can tell that he is hiding something,’ answered Jimmy. ‘Shall we find out then?’ Jimmy continued.

‘Yes we shall,’ laughed Adrian.
